Terms of Use.

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Jebby, a co-parenting coordination mobile application available on iOS and Android.

Jebby is currently operated by an individual, with formal company registration in progress. These terms are valid and binding as of their publication date.

Jebby is a mobile platform designed to help separated or divorced parents coordinate custody schedules, share parenting events, and manage day-to-day co-parenting logistics. Core features include:

• Shared custody calendar with configurable custody patterns
• Co-parent invite system
• Day swap requests between co-parents
• Shared events (school, appointments, activities)
• Push notifications for schedule changes and handovers
• Custody breakdown statistics

The service is provided "as is" during the initial launch period. Features, pricing, and availability are subject to change with reasonable prior notice.

Age requirement: Jebby is exclusively for adults (18+). By registering, you confirm you are at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your country.

Authentication: Jebby supports sign-in via Google Sign-In or email OTP. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account.

One account per person: You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with other users.

Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it updated.

Jebby is free to download. Optional paid subscriptions unlock additional features:

Prices are in euros, inclusive of applicable taxes. Subscriptions are billed monthly through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play, subject to their respective billing terms.

Free trial: Paid plans include a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends. You may cancel at any time during the trial with no charge.

Renewals: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date through your App Store or Google Play account settings.

In accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days of the purchase date, without giving any reason.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, notify us at legal@jebby.app before the 14-day period expires.

Refunds will be processed through the same payment channel used for the purchase. Where payment was made via App Store or Google Play, refund requests must be made through those platforms directly.

By using Jebby, you agree to:

• Use the service lawfully and in compliance with applicable Portuguese and EU law
• Not use Jebby to harass, threaten, or harm your co-parent or any third party
• Not upload false, misleading, or defamatory content
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or circumvent any part of the application
• Not use automated tools to access the service (bots, scrapers)
• Not share your account credentials with others
• Not use Jebby in any way that could impair the service or other users' access to it

Jebby is a coordination tool. It does not replace legal parenting plans, court orders, or professional advice. Any disputes between co-parents must be resolved through appropriate legal channels.

Your content: You retain ownership of all content you input into Jebby — custody schedules, events, child data, messages. By using the service, you grant Jebby a limited licence to process and store that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

Jebby's property: The Jebby application, its design, code, brand, and all non-user content are owned by Jebby and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

Feedback: If you submit feedback or suggestions, you grant Jebby a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use that feedback to improve the service.

In accordance with the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), Jebby intends to introduce AI-powered features in a future version. When these features are released, the following obligations will apply and these terms will be updated accordingly:

• Transparency: you will always be clearly informed when you are interacting with an AI system
• Human oversight: AI outputs will be advisory only — all decisions affecting your family remain yours
• Opt-in: AI features will require explicit consent, separate from these terms
• Right to explanation: you may request an explanation of any AI-generated output
• Right to human review: any AI-assisted decision may be reviewed by a human upon request

Jebby does not use AI systems that fall within the "prohibited" or "high-risk" categories under the EU AI Act.

Jebby aims for the highest possible availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance where possible.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the service with 30 days' prior notice for material changes. For emergency security or legal reasons, we may act without notice.

We will notify subscribers of pricing changes at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jebby's total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid to Jebby in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Jebby is not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data resulting from user error or account deletion
• Decisions made by co-parents based on information in the app
• Interruptions caused by third-party services (Apple, Google, infrastructure providers)
• Legal consequences of co-parenting disputes — Jebby is not a legal service

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, personal injury, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Portuguese or EU consumer law.

By you: You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing legal@jebby.app. All your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days. See our data deletion page for details.

By Jebby: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice depending on severity. Serious violations (e.g. harassment, illegal content) may result in immediate termination.

On termination: active subscriptions are cancelled from the next billing cycle. We do not issue pro-rated refunds for partial subscription periods unless required by law.

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections under your local law.

Disputes: We encourage resolution through direct contact at legal@jebby.app first. If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to:

For disputes not resolved through alternative means, the courts of Portugal have jurisdiction.

We will notify registered users of material changes to these terms by email with 30 days' prior notice. Continued use after that period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
